Then define how the day will unfold. Ceremony on site or not, outdoor cocktail, seated dinner, dancing. Not all venues offer everything, so state it in your first request.

Check practical constraints such as the end time of the evening, guest accommodation, access for suppliers and a fallback plan in case of rain.
